Weighing bins: a shelf scale under every parts bin.
Put a slim scale under each storage bin on your existing shelving. Each one weighs its bin, turns the weight into a part count and reports it, so your parts storage counts itself.

A weighing bin is a storage bin sitting on its own shelf scale. The scale reads the bin's weight, divides it by the weight of one part, and reports the count. Maxi Bin shelf scales come in four footprints from 210 × 150 mm to 600 × 230 mm and capacities from 5 to 50 kg, and chain together over USB-C, up to 100 per Gateway.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need special shelving?
No. The scales are slim platforms that sit on your existing shelves, with the bin sitting on top.
How many shelf scales can I connect?
Up to 100 scales per Gateway or Display. Scales chain together with USB-C, and you add another Gateway for the next 100.
What is the difference between a counting scale and a weighing bin?
A bench counting scale counts one batch when someone puts parts on it. A weighing bin has its own scale and counts continuously, with no one involved.
How accurate are shelf scales for counting parts?
Resolution is 0.2% of the scale's capacity, so a 5 kg scale resolves to about ±10 g. Bins of up to about 50 parts count with near-zero error; see the accuracy guide for larger quantities.
