How much does a smart bin system cost?
The price depends on a few things you can work out in ten minutes. Here is what drives the cost of a Maxi Bin system, and what you won't pay for.

The cost of a smart bin system depends mostly on how many bins you monitor, because each bin needs its own scale. Then add one Gateway or Display per chain of up to 100 scales, and access to the StockMonitor app. Maxi Bin systems are quoted to your bin list; send it through the quote form for a price.
What determines the price?
| Cost driver | What it means | How to keep it down |
|---|---|---|
| Number of bins | One scale per bin you want counted | Start with the bins that cause stockouts or stop the line |
| Scale size and capacity | Four footprints, 5 to 50 kg | Match the scale to the bin rather than oversizing |
| Gateways or Displays | One per chain of up to 100 scales | Group bins on the same shelving into one chain |
| App | StockMonitor cloud app | Add suppliers and staff as Viewers to share stock levels |
| Installation | Slide under the bin, plug in USB-C | Your own team can install it |

Frequently asked questions
Can I start small?
Yes. Many customers start with one shelf of the bins that cause the most stockouts and add more once they see the results.
Can I get a quote without exact bin details?
Yes. Only your name and email are required on the quote form. We will ask about your bins when we reply.
Is installation extra?
The system is designed for your own team to install: slide each scale under its bin and connect the USB-C cables. No electrician is needed at each bin.
How do other smart bin systems charge?
Distributor-run programs often build the cost into part prices or a service fee. Subscription platforms usually charge a monthly fee per site plus hardware. Vending machines are usually leased or bought, often with a supply agreement.
